Minutes of the North Kelsey Annual Parish Meeting held at 7.15 pm
at the Village Hall on 14th May 2024
Present: Cllr D Waite (Chairman), Cllr S. March (Vice Chair), Cllr P. Bryan, Cllr J. Slater, Cllr M. Williams, Cllr R. Hunt
In attendance: Cllr. Peter Morris (WLDC)

1. Chairman’s Welcome
Chairman welcomed everyone
2. To receive any apologies
Apologies for absence received from Councillor J Waite, Councillor J Cundill and Councillor T Smith (LCC & WLDC).
3. To approve the minutes of the meeting held on 9th May 2023
It was resolved to approve the minutes as a true record.

4. Chairman’s Report
Achievement’s:-
Newsletter every 2 months has been well received
Bulb planting and planter renewal
Additional benches including picnic benches
Tarmacing of the playing field car park
Maintenance of defibrillator’s
Remembrance Sunday great success
Improved litter situation
Cemetery progress with water butts and composting area
Initial funding for community shop
New noticeboards to improve communications
Councillor volunteer scheme included village maintenance
Challenges:-
Flooding
Finance
Playground
Cemetery headstones
Speeding
Dog Fouling
Chairman thanked all councillors for their voluntary contribution, special thanks to Cllr S March, Cllr P Bryan, Cllr J Waite and Cllr J Slater for additional contribution during the period of no clerk and recruiting new clerk
5. Public session
North Kelsey Progress Group attended and voiced concerns
They felt they were not remembered at meetings and should be considered more
They requested a councillor attend their meetings, no date for next meeting as yet
They have no social gathering facilities
Could a defibrillator be sited in North Kelsey Moor as lots of cyclists and runners use the area
They would like a bench siting and will forward preferred location
They wished more litter bins and litter picking
More transport options for people who feel isolated and do not drive or have access to a vehicle
Speeding, regularly go 60-70mph.
School children have to walk on churned up verges to catch transport
