Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting of North Kelsey Parish Council held in the Village Hall on Tuesday 10th March 2020 at 7.00pm

4 Public Questions Ref 20/172
Resident requested an update on the village de fib, which is situated at the school.
Resident asked if NKPC are a statutory consultee for the planning site at Smithfield Road.
5 County Council Report Ref 20/173
Councillor not present - mud on road at new developments still causing concern.
Road and verge subsidence at North Kelsey Moor – when will this issue be repaired

7 Clerk’s report Ref 20/175
A new email address for the council has been set up clerk.northkelseyparish@gmail.com
There are currently 2 casual vacancies.
The broken speed sign has been assessed by LCC Highways.
NKCA meeting was attended by Cllr Bryan, and the group are keen to be involved in the grant funding for the cemetery and wild life area projects, as community group support is a condition of the funding.
The Grass Cutting Contract is to be looked at, and quotes sort to find a contractor to do all the areas, rather than the 2 contractors currently doing part of the village requirement each.

9 Planning applications and decisions received Ref 20/177

10 Parish matters – To receive any report or consider any appropriate action Ref 20/178
a) Cemetery – all Christmas wreaths and any flowers past their best have been removed, dismantled and disposed off. The subscription for the green bin is due.
Discussion of putting a flower bed in at the front of the chapel was discussed – there used to be one and is now over grown. There has been a complaint about the removal of the Christmas wreaths and this has been dealt with. 2 contacts have been found for eco wreaths and council would like to make this cemetery policy going forward.
b) Grounds Maintenance - quote for aluminium notice board - £618. Further quotes to be sort. The flower box edge is broken on the grass area at the end of East Hall Road.
c) Play Area – Still problem with moles.
d) Wild Life Area – To look at grants available from the Calor Community Fund. To apply for a heritage grant council would need to consult with residents – open meeting to be planned.
