NORTH KELSEY PARISH COUNCIL

Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held in the Village Hall on Tuesday 12th April 2022 at 7pm

Present: Cllr M Williams (Chair), Cllr R Hunt & Cllr H Burrows, 

Cllr D Hunt (Acting Clerk)

Clerk did not attend as she resigned due to ill health.

A public forum was available for members of the public to ask questions, no members of the public were in attendance.

LCC Update –Cllr. Smith updates. 1) Seats at South St/Church St and Occupation Lane/West St (ongoing).   2) Speed limit at South St 20mph – LCC have changed their policy and Cllr Smith will asked for it to be assessed and will keep the Parish Council informed. 3) To request Joe Phillips (Area highways manager) to look at Cemetery Road, Brigg Road and Halls Lane as the roads are in a poor state of repair. 5) Cllr Smith arranged with Cllrs R Hunt and Cllr D Hunt to walk round North Kelsey and to note the various problems.

WLDC Update - Cllr Morris updates: 1) The fish drying plant planning has been withdrawn. 2) Egdon have been refused planning for drilling.

7.15pm    The Chairman opened the meeting.

21/525   To receive apologies and reasons for absence.  

Cllr S Haynes – apology received as he had covid.

21/526   To receive declarations of interest under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary or non-pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests. 

None received. 

21/527   To approve draft minutes of the Meeting on 15th March 2022

Resolved to approve as a true record. Proposed Cllr R Hunt Seconded Cllr. D Hunt

21/528    Chair & Councillors Report 

It is with regret that Jane Robertson the Clerk has had to leave our employ due to ill heath. As this is within the probationary period it is acceptable to contact a previous applicant to see if they are still interested in the position. Proposed 
Cllr H Burrows Seconded Cllr D Hunt – All in favour.

No one has come forward at this time

21/532    Playing field fencing

Ongoing – contractors to be contacted

21/533   New noticeboards

Permission is required from LCC for the positioning at North Kelsey Moor. 

21/534   New seat in play area

Awaiting confirmation from LCC with regards to the other two seats before confirming order so all three can be delivered together.

21/535    Fencing both on and around the playing field

21/536   Chapel repairs  

Tenders received for re-roofing the chapel.
